The Gannavaram unit used to cater the seed needs of Krishna district during Kharif and Rabi seasons under subsidy and non subsidy programmes. Seed Distribution in the district through 50 Mandal level Seed Distribution points i.e.; 27 PACS, 14 DCMS, 3 Private Dealers, 2 ARSK’s and 4 M.A.O’s.
In Krishna District 80 % of the area covered by Paddy during Kharif season and pulses covered under Rabi Season.
APSSDC Ltd., gannavram has produced on an average of 10,000-15000 Quintals of different crop seeds and marketed an average of 15,000 Quintals of different crop seeds during the year
